Access Control

VMON specialises in the installation of access control systems, using the latest technology and products from leading manufacturers. All our systems are installed to BS EN 50133.

Systems include access card readers, proximity readers, biometric readers, intelikey and many more.

All businesses, whether small, medium or large, have assets that need to be protected from theft. There is also the issue of protecting staff and their property. It is common in buildings that are secured by locks and keys for doors to be left unlocked all day. This opens up the possibility of opportunist theft and malicious damage.

Access control provides security by giving flexible control over who is allowed to enter a building and when. the system we install will keep your buildings, staff and assets secure. From one door upto hundreds of doors across multiple sites, we have a solution to suit your needs.

Access control enables you to control who has access to your building. it is designed to provide authorisation and authentication within a secure site. Locks and keys also allow you to secure your building, but when your keys go missing, the inconvenience and expense of changing locks and re-issuing keys can be considerable. Keys may also be copied, creating even more security risks. VMON can remotely monitor all your access control systems: we can open and close gates/doors at the click of a button: we log who is on site, why they are there and how long they remain on site.

Biometrics

Rather than using a physical access card to gain entry and exit into premises, biometrics technology uses unique human characteristics to identify the person seeking entry to a controlled area. For example, a finger can be placed on a biometric reader and the access control system can identify the unique characteristics of that finger print. It can then regulate entry permitting only authorised users access to an area. This solves the problems associated with stolen, loaned or lost electronic access cards by using an individual's distinguishing features to allow or prevent access accordingly
